The Star Quality Automation Methodology

Star Quality has developed a three-day hands-on course that provides the student with a repeatable approach to architecting test automation with SilkTest/QA Partner from Segue Software, Inc. It begins with a detailed explanation about why test automation projects fail and proceeds to take the student through a complete project using the Star Quality Automation Methodology. Students learn how to decide what to automate and how best to build automated tests that will sustain changes to the user interface of the application being tested. This course will benefit a wide range of users. Beginners will learn a simple approach to get tests running quickly. Experienced users will learn how to use tools that will allow everyone on the team to contribute to the test automation development effort. By extending the original course from two to three days, Star Quality has included instruction on the 4Test language to ensure success after completion of the course.

The student should have an understanding of structured programming or automated testing. While the course is applicable to any automated testing tool/language, the material will be presented using QA Partner/Silk. Previous experience with Silk is not required.
