Test Planning Seminar

Test planning is the most critical phase of a testing project. Yet it is the least understood and most overlooked set of tasks in the SQA lifecycle. Done properly, test planning provides the necessary input for evaluating resource requirements, estimating and scheduling testing tasks and defining acceptance criteria. It provides a framework for monitoring progress throughout the entire project. We believe that our approach to test planning and test case design is truly unique in the way that it describes application test requirements in a format that promotes discovery and summarizes coverage. Our one day Test Planning seminar provides students with a lecture and workshop on this rigorous approach. QA teams are surprised at the thoroughness and clarity of their test plans after participating in this class..

During this one day interactive course, the focus is on developing practical test planning skills including:

bulletEvaluating the scope of a project
bulletTechniques for decomposing a testing problem
bulletEstimating resource requirements
bulletDeveloping a test schedule
bulletWriting a high level test plan
bulletEnumerating detailed test requirements
bulletDefining and measuring against acceptance/ship criteria
